Black screen error , genuine error in windows 7

Genuine Error in windows 7

The windows operating system you have installed is said to be GENUINE if it is installed from an original windows 7 DVD or when it is upgraded from microsoft website or when you activate your windows using the license key in a genuine windows 7 DVD or a license key bought from microsoft website. Except this method if you have installed your operating system by any other means then it is not genuine, they are often called cracked versions or pirated versions.Everyone can't afford to buy genuine windows 7 or windows 7 ultimate as it costs in thousands, so majority of the people go for pirated versions and activate the windows using loaders, keygens and cracks e.t.c,
Microsoft can't enjoy this scene where there are a lot of pirated versions running on computers than genuine versions. So they have created a program for checking the ingenuity of windows. It checks the type of activation followed in the PC and any alteration made to the windows files for activating it,it also checks for fake serial numbers and any loaders used.It determines the ingenuity of serial key by contacting with microsoft website. This program is sent every PC which is running on windows 7 in the form of a UPDATE. It is often called as windows activation checker.
Update ID is KB971033

Can we use system restore ?

NO,   system restore fails to undo the changes made by this update. The changes done by this update are permanent.

Why?

.It doesn't restore the whole windows back to its normal condition.Don't confuse ,the windows operating system and the programs aren't the same.Windows operating system is far above than the programs and it is the platform on which all the programs run. This update changes the notifications in windows, so the entire windows can be restored to a point earlier in time.Restore points are supposed to save the programs only but not the entire windows.System restore just restores the programs and saved data from that restore point.

The administrator password in a computer can be changed without having a knowledge on the present password. It is done in command prompt by following some commands. The process involves finding the administrator name(User account name) and then typing a new password for it.
1.Open RUN (Shortcut : WINDOWS + R ) and type " cmd " and hit enter.
2.Now follow the command " net user ".
This command helps to find the user account in the computer i.e. the administrator.
3.Now it will show the accounts present .
  E.g. John     Guest
So the administrator is John,if there is no user account created then it simply shows
        Administrator    Guest
4.Now climb over the administrator by using the previous command followed by the administrator name
" net user administrator "     or    " net user john "
5.It displays information about the account.
6.Follow this command to change the administrator password
   " net user administrator * "     or   " net user john * "

Lock the computer ( shortcut : WINDOWS + L ) and verify the changed password.
It will be a bit funny if you do this on your friends PC so that you can demand a party from him.

System restore , blue screen error , screen of death

System Restore

System restore is a useful tool to restore your system to an earlier point in time(i.e. when it was in a good condition).System restore uses  "Restore points" to restore its previous position. These restore points are automatically created by windows periodically. They can be manually created when you feel that your system is in a good condition.  Automatically created Restore points can be deleted to free up the C Drive.A good restore point created manually is enough.

System restore is useful in solving many problems. When your system crashes or gets stuck even after a small time without leaving a reason behind,it is difficult to trace the problem in that short time."Blue screen error" or "Screen of death" is one of the best example where system restore is preferred. When a system suffers from Screen of death it automatically hangs within a short time  and shows a blue screen intimating that "your PC is malfunctioning due to a newly installed program or driver. In that short span of time it is very difficult to trace out the problem and hence ":System restore" is used to get back the PC to a good condition.

Restore Point:

A restore point is theoretically a landmark that we flagged to get back to that position when we find ourselves missing in a mysterious place.Practically speaking it is a backup
of the system files and all programs which are used to restore when we perform system restore.

Automatically created restore points:

Windows automatically creates restore points periodically detecting the changes in newly added programs and drivers.
Search for "system restore" in search box of start menu .
A "System restore" window appears describing the system restore...  click "next".
Here windows displays the restore points available in your PC .By selecting a proper restore point PC can be restored to the date restore point was created.

Manually creating a restore point:

When you find your PC in a good healthy condition it is better to use that as a restore point.
1.Right click on "My computer" select "properties" .
2.Now it shows the control panel, select "system protection" at the left side.

3.There opens a new window "System properties" > "System protection" where you can find about configuring and creating restore points.

4.Select "create" and give a name to the new restore point.

"Configure" allows you to manage the amount of disk space that you are willing to allocate to the restore points. There the automatically created restore can  be deleted to free the C Drive.

This is how restore points are created and used.
This can be used as a solution for various problems such as unexpected system hangs, crashes and blue screen errors.

Speed up my PC

Speed up your PC

We can speed up our system without using any software.
This is done manually by decreasing the startup programs, deleting the temporary files and by the hard drive maintainence.

Startup Programs

These are the programs that starts when the operating system starts. These programs become burden for the operating system to load them in the begining and also takes more time.Let me explain completely.

Example:

Consider a PC with windows7 as the operating system and with some startup programs in it.
The time taken by the windows7 to get loaded is 10 seconds(say),then the startup progams take some more time to get themselves loaded by requesting the windows7.That extra time will be burden for the operating system and will be an unnecessary delay for us.Disabling those programs in the startup will reduce the time delay, but this won't affect the performance of those programs.

Disabling Startup programs:

It is very simple and requires no additional software.
1.Open RUN in start menu (shortcut: windows+R).
2.Type "msconfig" and hit enter.
3.A new window named "system configuration" appears.
4.Select Startup.

There u will see a lot of programs, some checked and some unchecked.Be careful while disabling the unnecessary programs.Don't uncheck the startup items which are related to your antivirus and intel programs. The reamining can be unchecked. For example SKYPE,BING DESKTOP,ADOBE applications can be disabled in the startup as they are not necessary from the startup unlike the antivirus.
After you disable all the unnecessary programs APPLY and "EXIT WITH RESTART" is recomended.

Deleting the temporary files

Temporary files are located in C drive.By deleting these temporary files C drive attains some free space thereby the speed of the operating system increases.Temporary files(.TMP) are files created to temporarily contain information while a new file is being made.

How to delete temporary files:

1.Open RUN and type "temp".
2.Temp folder opens with lot of files in it.
3.Select all files (shortcut: CTRL+A) and delete them.
(SHIFT + DEL  deletes the requested files without moving them to recycle bin)

4.Repeat the above steps by accessing the following commands in RUN
  "pref-etch"    "%temp%"    "recent" .

Hard Drive maintenance

Hard drive maintenance is the most important thing that we should take care of.Checking the hard drives frequently for Drive errors and Defragmenting.

*There should be a minimum of 10% free space in your hard drive.
Example:If your hard disk capacity is 500 GB,then there should be a free space of 50 GB in total.

1.Open my computer (shortcut: WINDOWS + E).
2.Right click on any drive and select properties (shortcut: ALT + ENTER).
3.Select tools, there you see "Error checking" and "De-fragmentation".
4.Error checking can be done individually for every drive.
5.De fragmentation can be done all drives at a time.
6.Select "defragment now".
7.A new window "Disk Defragmentor" opens there you can analyse all the disks that at what % they have been fragmented and they can be defragmented.
8.Select all drives and "Analyse Disks".
After analysis it shows how much each hard drive is fragmented. Then "Defragment Disks"

This is how we can speed up our PC manually without using any software.
